Terms

Plain language, because terms nobody reads protect nobody. If anything here is unclear, ask and we will fix the wording rather than explain why it was fine.

What this is

Picks League is a free game. You pick which teams will win; correct picks score points, harder calls score more, and the highest score in a calendar month wins the month.

There is no money in it

• Nothing to deposit, nothing to wager, nothing to withdraw.
• The prize for winning a month is a badge next to your name. It has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for anything.
• We do not take bets, place bets, or accept payment for picks, and we do not carry sportsbook advertising or affiliate links.
• Published market prices are used to decide how many points a pick is worth. That is a scoring input, in the same way a quiz gives more marks for a harder question. It is not an invitation to bet, and nothing here is betting advice.

Using it

• You need to be 18 or over.
• One account per person. Extra accounts made to game a leaderboard will be removed.
• Do not automate play, script the site, or try to submit picks other than through the site itself. We rate-limit and will close accounts that do.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Scores and results

Results come from a third-party feed. It is usually right and occasionally is not. Where a result is clearly wrong we will correct it and re-settle affected picks. A game that is postponed, abandoned, or never produces a result is voided: it scores nothing and does not count as a loss.

A pick locks the points shown at the moment you make it. If the market moves before your pick registers, we refuse it and offer you the new number rather than quietly giving you a different one.

Your account

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page, which removes your picks and any titles. What we store and why is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes and endings

This is a small free product. We may change how it works, and we may stop running it. If it is shut down we will say so on the site first rather than simply going dark. We can close an account that is breaking these terms.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will always be available, that the slate will always be complete, or that every result will be settled immediately. It is a game, and it is free.
